Seer Medical are pioneers in wearable epilepsy diagnostics, transforming the usual week long hospital stay into a home-based test. To improve their patients comfort, and the quality of the data they were able to collect, their team had a new product concept - Seer Sense.
Our team were able to assist Seer’s designers to complete this project and progress the product to commercial release. We provided design for manufacture (DFM), product engineering and supplier communication support. The result was a compact design that was flexible enough to comply with real world use whilst being water and dust resistant.

Providing patient comfort
Seer understood that wearing EEG and ECG sensors for a up to 10 days was not easy for patients. To get high quality, uninterrupted data, It was key to adjust for a good patient fit and allow for flexibility of natural movement.

Integrating compact electronics
The design challenge was creating a wearable product that allowed sufficient adjustment and flexibility, while still robustly and reliably housing the complex electronics, batteries, cables and sensor links.
Our engineering challenge was making these complex and flexible parts suitable for manufacture and able to be repeatably assembled in Seer’s facility.
