Yardlife's 'Roam' Portable BBQ series is a range of portable, affordable, and high-performance cooking solutions designed in Australia. The range of versatile BBQs caters for diverse users, from nomads requiring a fierce cooking solution on the road to urban dwellers seeking a contemporary finish to their outdoor space.

Portable, stylish cooking
The challenge was to design and develop a range of versatile cooking solutions that complemented Australia’s love for the outdoors. The range was to be compact without compromising on cooking power, able to withstand the harsh Australian elements, and have a timeless aesthetic. The BBQs should complement any environment and allow users to cook the way they wanted; from high temperature grilling through to low temperature roasting.

In optimising the 'Roam' range our team was able to improve the commercial viability, transportation and sustainability of the products.
The 'Roam' range was designed to reduce part count, facilitating commonality between components and minimising material usage to improve the product's lifecycle without detriment to the overall aesthetic and functionality.

Delivery on a deadline
The 'Roam' range expands the product offering of our client from conventional sheet metal, trolley based BBQs into a new market segment of portable BBQs.
To deliver on this project meant meeting tight deadlines for both development prototypes and volume production. Our team worked closely with our client and their manufacturing partners to make this happen.
